Short description of error
If a user clears "unused data" during a render, the "Render result" image will be cleared. As a result of this, when the render finishes Blender will crash.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

, recursive orphan purging seems to purge any image from the Image Editor...So you could do this from the startup file:

Interestingly, this does not only happen with
Render Results

@mont29: even if the UI is the only user, I think this sounds wrong to do?
Thing is, 'user_one' set by UI items like the Image Editor are not 'real' users, they are just weak ones... So in context of cleanup, I think it makes sense to not consider these, and clear related IDs.
That being said, imho running something like ID cleanup while rendering is inherently unsafe... But we should probably just prevent render result image IDs to be cleaned up at all, these are some fairly special type of images.
