When using grease pencil on Intel Mac Laptop with AMD Radeon Pro 5500M graphics the stroke does not appear until after releasing the mouse.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Use default 2D Animation. Draw stroke in the viewport. You will not be able to see the stroke until you release the mouse button. The stroke is drawn you just can't see it while you are drawing.

Hi, this appears to be same issue as reported in #102251 (Regression: Grease Pencil: Drawing lines appear after releasing the mouse)
So I'll merge this into existing ticket. Thanks for reporting :)

Can confirm here too. 3.4 alpha, 3.5alpha, and 3.4 release all have the same problem; stroke doesn't appear until after mouse/pen is released.

Mac Pro 16 core
Radeon Pro W5700X
Ventura 13.0.1

It did work before, most likely prior to the Ventura install, but GP is the main thing I switched to blender for, and now all my work is at a standstill. :-/

Hey guys, Has anyone been able to find a solve for this issue? I can't see my pencil stroke until I've finished drawing. This is super frustrating

assuming you're on a mac, the solution found so far is to download the 3.5.0 build:

https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/

because that version has the option in Preferences > System > GPU Backend to change that backend from OpenGL to Metal and that fixes the issue for most people but then this seems to mostly affect people with intel cpu's (mac pros mostly now) and radeon gpu's. If you have windows I have no idea, hope this helps.
