Selecting a bone doesn't update Driver Properties panel #27652

%%%In the attached file there's an armature with:

  • bone "negative_z" with a simple driver, scripted expression= -1
  • bone "positive_z" with a simple driver, scripted expression= +1

Select one bone, then the other. The selected driver in the driver outline changes with the bone selection, but the Properties panel in the Graph Editor does not -- even when moused over! You have to select the driver - even if it's already selected - to get the Properties panel to update. So the user can quickly become confused which driver s/he's actually editing.

Sometimes I forget that I have to select the driver (that's already selected), and end up editing the driver that's displayed in the Properties panel, which isn't the one I thought I was editing because it's selected 9_6

There are other missing wm updates e.g. changing a bone name in the Properties editor space doesn't make the Graph Editor outline update, but these are more annoying than disruptive (at least a mouseover the graph editor outline will redraw it).

Same behavior 2.57b win 64 release and my cmake vc9 head win 32.%%%

%%%Just checked this again. Working on fix:

  • anim_deps.c - need to tag F-Curve as active to solve the problem. However, main complication is to avoid tagging multiple F-Curves as active, otherwise we're in deep trouble...
