Bake unselected objects (all but normall map) #31110

%%%Blender 2.62
Windows 7 x64
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 545v

I often need to bake Lightmap for game models. They usually consist of a large number of complex overlapping objects. When baking I need to get just the shade on the near object. But yet also baked and part of the object surface.

(This problem there a minimum of even one person (former colleague) Unfortunately I do not know characteristics of his PC)

my english is bad. I hope from the screenshots will be more understandable

Thanks for previously.%%%

%%%I don't really understand what the bug is here. Usually it's also best to attach the .blend file, screenshots don't tell everything.

In this case it seems to me the baker is working as it should be. Unselected objects will indeed still cast shadows, if you don't want that you should disable them for rendering in the outliner, or move them to a separate layer. Selected to Active is intended for high to low resolution baking, where the active object is the low resolution mesh, and the selected object(s) are the high resolution meshes, and it computes the AO as if it was on the surface of the high resolution mesh.%%%

%%%The fact that is baked, not just a shadow that falls from the object, also baked surface of the object, but he was not selected. (For some reason fails to attach a more striking example)%%%

%%%If the question is, why does it still show the other objects after pressing "Bake" in this file, then that's because the image is used both for baking input and output. The "Light" image is assigned in the material, which means it will affect the material color when you bake. So while the objects themselves may not be there, the image that you previously baked their lighting too is affecting the bake result.%%%

%%%Maybe I did not understand everything correctly. but the same thing happens even if the material which was not assigned, and I bake a new image.

(Attached image, indicate that this is exactly unselected object)

If with these settings as it should be. how can I get just a cast shadow from object2.%%%

%%%Ah sorry, now I understand the issue, it is a bug. I've committed a fix now to svn, latest windows 64 bit build here should have it:
