%%%Empty offset Y parameter is resetting when you change subdivision parameter of newly created objects, when moving objects to another layer and when opening blend file (or this value just didn't saved dunno).

  1. Open attached blend file (you can see that offset Y parameter is 0, but I set it -0.5 when saving file), set offset Y -0.5
  2. Create sphere and change segments parameter, offset Y is resetting, set it -0.5
  3. Move created sphere to another layer, offset Y is resetting

Can I ask for small request? I'm always set empty image offset XY parameters to -0.5, can we have these parameters -0.5 by default? please?

Platform:

Windows 7 x32

OpenGL:

  • Renderer: ATI Radeon HD 4770
  • Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
  • Version: 3.3.11631 Compatibility Profile Context

Blender:

Version: 2.63 (sub 10)

%%%Confirmed (r.47656)

  • "Offset Y" (ob.empty_image_offset- ) is missing an undo push for some weird reason. However, "Offset X" works perfectly fine
  • Changing RNA sub-type, specifying array default size, and changing the way the UI is defined (i.e. using a single row.prop(...) without the individual index args) do not fix this problem
  • In the console, I get a "Memoryblock lib block: end corrupt" immediately after undoing any changes made to the property. Trying to redo the change (shift-ctrl-z) does nothing (i.e. lack of undo push)

%%%Hmm... this could be another one of those compiler-related issues.

Mikhail: What compiler/build system was used for the build you were using?

For reference, I was using:

  • mingw/gcc 4.6.2
  • scons
  • Win 32 - Vista%%%
