%%%OS Win 7 64 bit, blender 64 bit scons /mingw build. rev 47778
Hi, I noticed a crash and I tried to redo this with a simple scene.
I attached two blend files:
untitled2.blend the file with the scenes.
testgroup.blend the file which containes the objects linked to a group
Open now the untitled2.blend and press the render button inside of the render layers node. Blender should crash.
In the testgroup.blend I parented frist the cube to the bone afterwards I applied the subsurf modifier to the cube.
I don't know what exactly causes the crash (the bone or the subsurf modifier or whatever ??). But if you in untitled2.blend first change the scene to 'Scene' and then go back to the scene 'compo' it does not crash!

Changed status to: 'Open'
%%%I would like to add,
As soon as it works ("change the scene to 'Scene' and then go back to the scene 'compo'" ) it always works during a Blender session. It's even possible to open other files inbetween and then go back to the file in question. But after closing Blender and restart and load the 'untitled2.blend' file it crashes again.
and there is no crash under Linux (Ubundu).%%%
%%%no crash in Linux here (Fedora 64bit, gcc-4.6.3) rev.47879%%%
%%%Can not reproduce on win7 64bit.
Heiko, please try using recent builds from builder.blender.org. There were some fixes which could potentially affect on this. Also mingw support is still kind of experimental, so please use msvc builds from out buildbot to verify if this is indeed a bug.%%%
%%%I just downloaded "blender-2.63-r48065-win64.zip" from builder.blender.org and I assume this should be a msvc build.
I have the same crash and all addons (community and all official) except for the 'network render' addon are activated.
If I deactivate all those addons I have no crash.
In case of this files here attached I have this in the console:
found bundled python: C:\Bl\install\win64-mingw\2.63\python
read blend: C:\Users\Heik\Desktop\untitled2.blend
read library: 'C:\Users\Heik\Desktop\testgroup.blend', '//testgroup.blend'
Info: read library: 'C:\Users\Heik\Desktop\testgroup.blend', '//testgroup.blend

I don't know if this could have any influence regarding the crash?

%%%Well, that's buggy addon, but this shouldn't affect on crash.
From your message i could understand that there's some addon which makes blender crash. What you might try is: load factory settings before opening file which crashes for you with render, then open file which crashes and see if there's crash in such configuration. Another thing to try is to start disabling addons one by one and see which one has an effect on crash.%%%
%%%Cool, managed to reproduce on my laptop. Would look into it further.%%%
%%%I believe it's fixed in svn rev49478. Thanks for the report, closing now.%%%
Changed status from 'Open' to: 'Resolved'
%%%Hey Sergey,
The strange thing is, as I checked it with the files attached just a view days back and had no crash, but with my larger scene I still had the crash - but It's really fixed now. :)
