Dubious selection mode in Dopesheet and Action Editor makes it impossible to delete ungrouped channels #32250

%%%Lets say i have a armature with two bones ("A" and "B"). If i select insert a key for A with I -> Location, then it will create a group with the three channels. After that i insert a single channel (only x location) for B that will not be grouped. If i now select the channel and the group, then i have no way to delete the channel of B without deleting the group for A, because the group will always stay selected.

This happens if you use Shift+Left click once. It somehow toggles the selection mode in a way that every further click will select or deselect any clicked item. Usually it would only select the item you clicked on and if you wanted to select multiple items you would press Shift while clicking. Must be some kind of error inside the key(board) handling code.%%%

%%%Probably something to do with the active flags on the groups. Those are still a bit dodgy.%%%

%%%Confirmed, it was the 'Active' flag not getting cleared on shift select. Annoyingly I've battled this one a few times in the past, but it's one of those bugs that keeps popping up (just like the visual keying one does on corner cases).

A workaround for now is to firstly deselect all (AKEY) first, then try selecting things again.%%%
