Dirty Vertex Colors display problem since 2.65a #33715

%%%I noticed that in Vertex Paint mode, when clicking on Paint -> Dirty Vertex Colors, the visual does not change anymore.

how to reproduce :
Load Blender.
Click on File -> Load Factory Settings
By default the Cube is selected, if not select it
Go to Vertex Paint mode
Click on Paint -> Dirty Vertex Colors

the vertex color map is actually created but visually you don't see it.
to see it you need to go to Edit Mode, then go back to Vertex Paint mode

in 2.64a it worked without having to do the switch to Edit Mode and back (press TAB 2 times)
this odd behaviour only started with stable 2.65a (and is still on the latest buildbot version (i'm on window XP 32bits) i downloaded)
