%%%--- Operating System, Graphics card ---
Linux, GeForce 8600 GTS

- Blender version with error, and version that worked ---

2.66 testbuild 1: with error
2.65a: version that worked

- Short description of error ---

Trying to render attached .blend file in 2.66 testbuild 1 ends with Blender crash (closing). Rendering this file in 2.65a works normally. If I disable "Motion Blur" and/or "Use Spatial Splits" it can be rendered even under 2.66 testbuild 1. This doesn't happen on every model. Other few models I tested didn't cause any crash.

- Steps for others to reproduce the error (preferably based on attached .blend file) ---

Try to render attached .blend file

%%%I tried this on Ubuntu 32 bit now and I still can't redo the problem. I noticed you have the BVH Cache option enabled, does disabling that avoid the issue?

Maybe somehow there is an invalid BVH cache file, which would explain why I can't redo the problem, you could remove that using:
rm ~/.config/blender/2.65/cache/bvh_*%%%

%%%Yes. It is still present on build 56001. I have found another scene, where enabling "Spatial Splits" (don't even need to enable "Motion Blur") causes crash. I't this scene: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?288611-free-download-archviz-blender-scene%%%
