Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Short description of error
When switching between Object materaial and Date material, viewport render preview failed to update.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

Sergey, need your 'update' skills here again... Adding
DAG_id_tag_update((ID *)ob, OB_RECALC_OB);
to the end of outliner'seOLDrawState tree_element_active_material
does the trick (this is done anyway by RNA update handling of MatSlots), but meh... Why do we have to tag the object for update in such case?From quick glance changing the material link (actually, everything with rna_MaterialSlot_update) tags object for OB_RECALC_OB. This goes back to #24135.
Not really sure there's easier way to inform render engine about changes atm, we could just do the same in outliner with some comment about this.
Since it's not critical, maybe we can set priority to "Low" or todo?
