Can not bake selected bones #44036

Short description of error
I can not bake selected bone driven by constraint, if I uncheck Selected option, all is working, but I need bake only one bone, not all.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open my scene bakeBug.blend
  2. Bake constrained bone bakeBug.png
  3. Bone is not baked.

Sorry my mistake, I had not checked Visual Keying, so now it is baked well. But after baking is my animation from Parent bone gone. Is it normal behaviour?

@Cenda, You can bake both objects by selecting both first.

@JoshuaLeung, what would you say, is that expected?

@JulianEisel If I select both bones it is working, but it does not have sense to have Only selected option, if I have to select all bones.

For example, now I make animation of hands with weapon for Unity. I have rigged hands with IK. One hand is holding weapon and second is contrained to weapon, after animation I want bake animation of IK and delete constraint before export. But I cant. If I bake all bones, there will be so many keys on each bones, so any next editing will be impossible.

So if Only selected bone can be baked with Visual Keying, it would be great.

Issue here is that an armature can only have one action at a time… Since bake create a new action, that new action will quite obviously only contain baked bones' curves.

Think we need either to add option to overwrite current actions (instead of creating a new one), or, for bones only, an option to copy unselected bones' curves from current action.
