Texture paint strangeness on left and bottom edge of painted image #48169

Hi there,

This is the next of my nit-picking bug reports. It's a tiny tiny annoyance, but I thought I had to report-it anyway. After all, perfection should be the goal !
I'll try to be as precise as needed, video link at the bottom.
I don't think a .blend is needed: the "bug" is 4 steps away…

Blender 2.77a official, Windows 7 64 / GTX570

1.Open New file
Switch to UV/image editor, create new image (anything) and go to paint mode.

2.Properties Panel, texture Tab
Create new Brush texture (anything, I choosed Marble)

3.UV/Image editor
Set brush size to 100 and strength to 100% and zoom in quite a bit (really close) to the left edge of the image. You want to see the left end of your image and a fair bit of empty space to its left.

Now, if you paint the texture, it's all fine unless you leave the image while maintaining the pressure. When the brush is out of the image by a 15 pixels amount or so, you will see that the last half-circle of texture laid onto the image by the brush while exiting the image will translate left by a 1px amount, leaving an awful mess behind.

If you maintain the pressure and go back in the image, it'll be corrected.

If you start your stroke outside the image and go in, you'll see your texture translate 1 px to the right when you cross the edge inwards.

The same happens at the bottom edge, but NOT at the right and top edge.

It does sound really crazy nit-picking, I know. Please see video here (video ) for a more visual explanation.

Thanks for having a look, and in general for the great work you do !

Gwen
