confirmed here, will fix 1-2 days
confirming this as a regression, it worked in 2.78a release, it does not now.

I understand nothing but layout_radial can be null so this: http://pasteall.org/185792/diff fixes the issue it seems. But someone who understand should review it :P
I think it's related to "rendered" "Viewport Shading" that is not available in blender game (not sure but I noticed this difference with the other engines). Maybe something could be done in the addon script with compat engines... I don't know. (rendered is just not supported in blender game)
