Broken: 2.79 master daily build from 08.01.2018 (Hash

). Also the one from 11.01.2018 (Hashac2ebf9
)Worked: 2.79 master daily builds from October 2017.
Short description of error
On several of my files, after I open the file and try to change the current frame (either clicking in the timeline, or pressing the right/left arrows on the keyboard) Blender immediately crashes and quits. This happens every time on these files, if I had a freshly started Blender. If I use Blender some time, and then load the file, then sometimes it works and doesn't crash (this is however hard to reproduce).
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
I attach here one of my files which crashes. I have simplified it as much as possible, so that it still crashes.

cannot reproduce this with current master on linux
Does this also happen with the
--factory-startup
commandline option? (this will ensure whether this is a userpref or addon issue or not)Yes, you're right, this doesn't happen with the --factory-startup option. So it is probably an addon that doesn't work anymore with the newer builds. I will do some testing and try to narrow down which addon it could be.
Are there any other things that factory startup resets? (I noticed only the theme colours)
afaik it skips reading the startup.blend and userpref.blend in the users home directory
It would really help if you could find which addon it could be.
Marking as incomplete for the time being, but it will be looked at once we know which is causing this

To provide a list of enabled add-ons, you can attach the
system-info.txt
generated from theHelp> Save System Info
menu by dragging and dropping the whole .txt file into the comment field ( do not paste it's contents directly in the comment field it is difficult to read and breaks up the formatting). Note that only add-ons shipped with Blender are supported. If the issue is caused by a third party add-on, please contact the author. However, more than a week passed without a reply.
Due to the tracker policy, archiving until the required additional information / data is provided.
