Broken: 2.91
Worked: 2.79 (but on my old laptop)
I recently got a new pc, after successfully downloading blender I tried to open it and it just shows a black screen with some text on it and then closes quickly. On my previous laptop, I didn't have this issue (I was using 2.79). I have tried blender 2.79, 2.92 and 2.91 - none of them open. Sorry if I am not being very useful, I'm a noob at computers. Any suggestions?

I'm not able to open the control panel for the nvidia driver, could that be part of the issue?

In blender, help menu -> save system info will create a text file. That file was asked.

You will need to run this in the last version of Blender that opens correctly.
I can't open any versions of blender on this pc, only on my old one. Every time I try, it just leaves a black screen and closes.

In fact the graphics driver shown in the
blender.crash.txtisig9icd64.dll(which is from Intel and not from NVidia), so I will close it as a duplicate.Closed as duplicate of #72098
