Short description of error When appending a file blender creates white fluffy stuff or multipule objects. see renders.
simply appending a file from a diffrent file, creates white fluffy stuff.

It looks like you're using Blender 2.81 which is a relatively old version of Blender. Please try updating to 2.92, 2.93, or 3.0 and seeing if that fixes your issue as these updates include many bug fixes. If it doesn't, please read the extra information below.

It looks like objects are being appended without materials or objects instanced with hair when appended to another file are having just the hair saved.
It's hard to investigate this issue without an example .blend file in which we can append objects from. Are you able to share one?
