System Information
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Version: 10.0.19042 Build 19042
Graphics card: 4x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Blender Version
Broken: 2.93, 2.80, 279
Worked: 2.49b

Bug: White screen on startup

When there is not HDMI plugin on my rig, Blender would show white screen on startup.
Update windows didn't fix it
Update GPU drives didn't it.
Downgrade Windows Update and GPU drives didn't fix it.
Try to run on each GPU separately by disabling other in Device Manger

Even when you run blender with HDMI and everything shows and works after disconnecting HDMI blender would show black screen.

The problem is likely that when you aren't using HDMI, the integrated GPU of your CPU is used, while when the monitor is connected over HDMI it uses one of the GeForce GPUs. The integrated GPU could be below the minimum requirements or need a driver update as well.

Please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the blender_debug_gpu.cmd. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Try to make Blender freeze again. Once it does, close Blender. The Windows Explorer should open and show you up to two files, a debug log and the system information. Add them to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below or via drag and drop.

What is the reason that you cannot use the GPU's HDMI connectors, as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti have them and it seems you were also able to test them?
