I agree with Denis here. The Geonodes > Color Ramp Node is not the same as the Compositor variant and shouldn't just copy its documentation page.

I have changed the text to read "Standard color output"
In the future, other node systems will use fields so I don't think the issue of the screenshot is an issue of concern right now.
We could also add an example that is more geo-node-focused. If the community has a useful example to include here I can include it but until then I'm going to consider this closed.
