System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 Intel 4.5.0 - Build 26.20.100.7925

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.93.4 x64.bit

Bug Description
[Whenever I try and import an obj mesh, it always just comes out as an orange 2d sphere that I can't interact with.]

[I have no idea how to reproduce the issue, as It only happens when I try importing an obj mesh that came with an mtl texture.]

It's very likely that the OBJ file is located far from the origin. You can see if this is the case by selecting the object you imported, then selecting from the top of the 3D viewport Object -> Set Origin -> Origin to Geometry then select from the top of the 3D viewport Object -> Clear -> Location and now you might be able to see your object.
