Some delete menu options show but can't be used. The top delete title should allow us to delete anything instead of just being a title. #92300

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.19041-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 472.12

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.0.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2021-10-16 12:26, hash: 4a00faca1a
Worked: Never

Short description of error
Various delete options don't work or shouldn't be shown if they don't work when pressing the delete key on the keyboard.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
First select vertex in the top menu (blue) in Edit Mode. Then select a vertex on a shape for example an extruded line made with the Mesh: Snap_Utilities_Line add-on. After that press delete on the keyboard and see the menu pop up. Edges, Faces, etc. don't work. They should only show if they are working options.

I just want to delete objects selected without seeing a menu pop up if possible. Can you make it so the backspace button can delete anything selected without having a popup menu that needs to be used after pressing delete? It isn't doing anything now when we press it.

Also if a line and vertex are selected the options to delete them individually or together would be nice for some users. Just in the right click menu would be easy.

By allowing Backspace to delete objects selected without a popup it would speed up everything. Delete could keep the same system or at least make the word delete at the top which is just a title delete anything selected giving it a function please.

Option/Alt + delete would be nice to get extra delete options if needed, or Ctrl + delete. Unless it is better the way it is. I just think the delete key should easily delete selected objects quickly without the popup. But a popup is nice in some situations. Just say I select heaps of stuff and decide to just remove the lines but keep points etc.

The top select by vertex, edge or face menu option (blue when toggled) should change the options of the popup menu so only tools that work are shown as options when pressing delete.

[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

After that press delete on the keyboard and see the menu pop up. Edges, Faces, etc. don't work. They should only show if they are working options.

These option can be used in every selection mode. eg. Edge can be removed with delete option in vertex select mode if two adjacent verts are selected
