System Information
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro
Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.80, edbf15d3c044, master, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
2.93.5 & 2.93.6 Official release

Short description of error
When I want to import multiple texture in shader editor via Node Wrangler pressing CTRL+T, nothing happens and an error occur.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).
In the Shader Editor I have created a material node. Select Principled BSDF and press CTRL+T , then selected the image files (named correctly with xy_COL.jpg, xy_NRM.jpg etc.). A warning dialog box appear saying: Relative paths cannot be used with unsaved scenes.
Saved the file and tried again the same procedure. When I select all the images I want, nothing will be imported and the error (screenshot attached to this bug report) appears. It was working with 2.93.4. Now it does not work with 2.93.5 as well as 2.93.6 official release.error1.png error.png
Same procedure works with 3.0.0 Beta downloaded November 18.

Issue is same as described in #77022.

Fix for this is not included in blender-v2.93-release. @lichtwerk , can you please check?

Hi, I can confirm that disabling the Relative Path option in the file browser is fixing the error. Nevertheless, I hope the issue will be fixed in 2.93.6.
Many thanks guy's.

I put this on the list to be backported to 2.93 LTS, see blender/blender#88449 (Blender LTS: Maintenance Task 2.93).
No need to have a separate report open for this though, this will be included in the next LTS release.
