Operating system: Linux-5.4.0-91-generic-x86_64-with-glibc2.31 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 470.86
Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.0.0 Release Candidate, branch: master, commit date: 2021-11-30 10:50, hash:
4b971bb87c
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)
Short description of error
It is impossible to render with Cuda and Cycles. There is an error message:
"illegal address in CUDA queue copy_from_device (integrator_intersect_closest)"
see picture below -
The Problem was first appeared in 2.93 when rendering a big scene with ca. 3 million Verts. The Rendering Process aborted after about 8h (Blender crashes), and now this error message appears at all times.
Before that Crash, Cycles and CUDA was working!
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Just render a scene with cuda and cyles

Can you try to do File -> Defaults -> Load Factory Settings and then try to render again?
Also, did you try to render with Optix?
Changed status from 'Needs Triage' to: 'Needs User Info'
with fac.settings - without denoise. Begins to render for short, than stops:
with fac.settings - OptiX - not working
with fac.settings - NLM - not working

@blacktoon hi, issue still persists?
Can you check on latest builds?: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily
Also, try installing latest GPU driver that may resolve your issue: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/troubleshooting/gpu/linux/nvidia.html
Hi, any news?
