Short description of error
When rotating an object with the mouse or moving an object with the mouse, upon clicking the mouse button to apply the transformation, a render begins.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Select object, press R to rotate or G to move, click mouse to confirm/apply the rotation (right click or left click, it does not matter). Render pop-up window opens and unwanted render begins.
Interface/Input Considerations: I have my mouse preference set to Right-Button selection mode (right mouse click selects objects, vertices, edges, etc.), Spacebar is set to open the search function interface. Shift+Spacebar is set to play animation.

I personally can not reproduce this. It seems like it might be a configuration issue. Are you able to load factory settings, re-configure it with the settings you like (Right Click select, Space is search) and try again? To load factory settings select from the top of Blender
File -> Defaults -> Load Factory Settings
I figured out that the compositor is triggering this behavior. I had it set to auto-render, in order to see how changes in the scene affect the composite in the viewer node.
I do not recall this behavior acting as such in previous versions of Blender; the anticipated behavior was rendering occurring in the background, or only while active in a compositor pane or while actively viewing the Viewer Node output. At present, every single change is interrupted by the render pop-up, meaning the render window obtrusively comes to the forefront and interrupts work.
Do you have a .blend file you can provide that reproduces the issue?
I can reproduce the issue where Blender will automatically start a render after actions like rotating the object. BUT only if I have the compositor open with the
Auto Render
setting on. If theAuto Render
setting is off or the compositor is closed, then it does not start a render. It sounds like from your comments that renders might occur even with the compositor closed. Which could be considered a bug.It should also be noted that I tested a few older versions of Blender (2.92, 2.93) and they both show the same behavior as I described above.

Same as @Alaska said, I can get the render window when auto render and compositor editor is selected.
Reason for showing up the final render on top of the main window is not clear to me.
This behavior is consistent for previous versions (oldest version I checked is 2.83).
@davidosborne, is this the case for you?
