Adding shortcut to node doesn't bring up the node in the shader editor #96496

System Information
Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.22000-SP0 64 Bits
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 511.09

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.0.1, branch: master, commit date: 2022-01-25 17:19, hash: dc2d180181
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
Since I use the image texture a lot in shading, I decided to right click on the image texture under the add menu and assign a shortcut. When I go back to the add menu, it shows that my shortcut is assigned to that command but when I click that command from within the shader editor- no image node appears. It does work with the quick menu but not with a shortcut.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Assign a material to an object. With that object selected go into the shader editor, go to the add menu and then to texture and finally image texture. Right click on image texture and choose assign shortcut. (I used ctrl I ) Now within the node editor, hit Ctrl I. No image texture appears. If you go back to the add menu, texture and then image texture you'll see that ctrl I is assigned to the image texture command. But using that shortcut does not bring up the node.

I have checked this with Ctrl Shift A since this is rarely used. This shortcut works well. Ctrl I is used to invert selection, so please double check whether this conflict does not interfere.

Hi, {key ctrl I} shortcut is for selecting/deselecting nodes. So you are assigning same keys for two different operation.
Conflicts like this are not considered as a bug (as far as I can tell).
Try Richard's suggestion: Ctrl Shift A
Also, we've not received any reply from the ticket author for for than a week. Closing as per the tracker policy.
