Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.80, edbf15d3c0, master, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen) 3.2
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
2022-07-07_23-11-39.mp4 I just clicked on the sprinkle, go into edit mode, and it crashes.Dounut.blend
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

Thanks for the report. Crash has been fixed already. see: #98813 (Regression: GPU subdivision crash when switched to edit mode)
Please test again in 3.3 or 3.2.1: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily

Does it crash when GPU subdivision is disabled?: {nav Edit > preferences > Viewport . Subdivision > GPU Subdivision}

I assume this crash report is same as #98813 (Regression: GPU subdivision crash when switched to edit mode)


No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.
