problem:
I'll work on a blender model (human) for hours then it stops working properly. it will act buggy and lag and take forever,(especially when remeshing) before i already had been working on a model for hrs and I added a few spheres, then my progress disappeared and went back to the progress I was on hrs ago. not sure if its a ram issue or not. I know nothing really about computers and had just gotten a MacBook Pro. if there's a way to solve this please tell me.

Hi, thanks for the report. Various factors can be responsible for the slowdown: Insufficient ram, number of n-gons, shader, etc.
Unfortunately the scenario described is too time consuming for us to track down, we require the bug reporter to narrow down the problem.
Normally .blend files can be simplified by removing most objects and disabling settings, until the problem reveals itself more clearly.
If there are many steps to reproduce the problem, please attach a .blend file saved right before the bug occurs, so only a few steps are needed to trigger the bug.

I have 16gb of ram on my computer and the model is 1.03gb of space on files. Are these causing the lag?

Can you observe the memory usage at the time of performing these operation?
