[Rigify Error]

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[Rigify Error: I've put an obj character in the blender scene. I added it to the armature. I get a mistake when i want to rigging.]

Is this using one of the metarigs available by default? I can see many steps in the info window, can you clarify the exact steps you took to reproduce this error?
