Jumping to next/previous (key)frame doesn't take subframes into account #102746

Blender Version
Broken: version: 3.5.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: now, hash: 1b7b996e16
Worked: likely never

Short description of error
When subframes are enabled, there can be two "playheads": the rounded-down integer frame, and the subframe. Jumping to the next/previous frame (with {key left} {key right}) or keyframe (with {key up} {key down}) disregards the subframe.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Open the attached blend file, which has keys on frames 1, 3, and 4. It also has "Show Subframes" enabled.
  • Click in the dope sheet to set the current frame to a subframe, let's say 3.27. This situation is shown in the screenshot above.
  • Press {key left}. I'd expect it to jump to the previous integer frame, so 3. Instead it jumps to 2.
  • Go back to subframe 3.27
  • Press {key down}. I'd expect it to jump to the previous keyframe, so 3. Instead it jumps to 1.

In both cases, the rounded-down integer frame number is used to determine the frame to jump to, without taking the subframe into account.

In step 5 it jumps to frame 1.27. I would expect it to jump to keyframe exactly. Reasoning is, that I jump to keyframe with intention to change it. If I do it with subframe offset, I may get unexpected result.

For Graph Editor users, here's a blend file for the Graph Editor. There are keyframes on frames 1 and 29 for X Location, 68 and 104 for Y Location, and 159 and 195 for Z Location, Only Show Selected Curve Keyframes is set to True, and Unselected F-Curve Opacity is set to 0.001, so you only visually see the channels that you click on.

This is fixed in the latest master. Sybren just found another issue when reviewing the patch that fixed it
