Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Group: V 2.48a release
Resolution: Postponed
Category: OSX related

When trying to print information from a Blender Python script on Mac OS X 10.5.6, the output will not show up in the Console application until the Blender application quits.

Steps:

1. Launch Blender 2.48a on Mac OS X 10.5.6
2. Execute a Python script that prints information
3. Look for the output in the Console application
4. Quit Blender

Actual:
The output does not show up in the Console until Blender shuts down.

Expected:
The output should show up in the Console when the script is executed.

Note:
This bug was found on a PowerMac G5 dual processor with 2 Gigabytes of RAM.
No custom version of Python was installed.

This looks identical to this closed bug:

A workaround I use is to get a terrminal window for output - described here:
http://blenderartists.org/forum/showpost.php?p=1267071&postcount=15

closing, blender 2.5 will have a built in console
