PCM audio / GL preview on Ubuntu 64 bit
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I've laid up an animatic file with audio in the sequencer, in the form of a quicktime. This quicktime file is much longer than the length of the shot I'm animating.
After animating the shot, I've rendered an openGL preview as an AVI with the video codec set to HuffYUV and the audio codec set to PCM.
The render goes fine, but the resulting file has about 14 extra seconds of audio at the end of it.

I just found out that this is unrelated to the openGL preview, but also appears when rendering purely from the sequencer.

Also, changing the audio codec doesn't seem to fix it.

Hey there! Assigned to me. I think I got what you mean, can you check if it's still there? You need at least revision 27157.

Hi Joerg! I'll have to check on monday afternoon when I'm back at the BI. Sorry for the delay, and thanks for looking into this.

neXyon:
related to this bug, I seem to be getting problems with sound strips added from videos (mostly .flv's from durian, but also a few .mov's from other sources) being a tad shorter than the video (i.e. they're about 4/5 ths the length of the corresponding video strips).

I also have one particular .mov file (about gimbal lock, from keith lango) that has audio that is longer than the video.

Needless to say I'm running current svn as at time of writing, which is 27201

Nice one!
I just tested it and it seems to be fine now.
Thanks a lot, Joerg!

Joshua: I've noticed that issue too. Maybe for another bug report?
