I've been trying to import collada files created by sketchup. In blender when i click import it will crash! This error is very consistent. There's no more that happens than that. For some reason importing collada files from sketchup dosn't work.
Exporting from sketchup 8 (not pro)

If it helps. Using also 2.6a and importing a roughly just flat top view layout of a car it just changes to Feet in top left corner of 3D View. No object shows up in the outliner or what it is now called. But it doesn't crashed. In 2.49a and Collada 1.4 it worked for this model but it had much double vertices an weird faces but the later must be more a issue from SketchUp's side.

Please provide additional information (like sample file) there -- it'll help to make more complex investigation.
