Toggle blender to fullscreen and back again corrupts windows xp taskbar
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Windows xp sp3, intel cpu, nvidia 8400 gs gpu, blender r42615.

Toggling blender to fullscreen mode via the icon on the right side of blender's info panel covers up all parts of windows OS, toggling back works fine but leaves the windows task bar corrupted (still displaying the blender window). Mouse over the task bar & start menu will bring back most of the windows tabs. Closing blender brings back almost everything, except the system clock.

Thanks for all the hard work!

Moved from Blender 2.5 Bug Tracker to OpenGL errors

Unfortunately, there's not much we might do here to resolve this issue. Blender isn't interacting with taskbar or so directly, its just asks for fillscreen window and draws on it, correct redrawing of taskbar is a task of windows itself.
Make sure you're using the very recent drivers and check for windows updates. This might help.
Moving to OpenGL tracker.

Thanks for looking into this. If it's a problem with windows xp or a conflict with how windows and blender draws to the screen, then this can be closed as a solution can't be found.

Same problem with Windows 7 Enterprise 64 Bit SP1 on a Intel Core i7-4800MQ, AMD Radeon HD 8790M / Intel HD Graphics 4600, Blender c6b042b.
Maybe something can be done about it anyways?
