%%%I am using Linux Mint 13 64bit, Nvidia graphics. Tried with my own and a buildbot build from recent svn.

Add a transition effect between two video or image sequence strips, for example a cross transition.
Play it for one time and then move the strip's handles around again. Press play again and the transition is jumpy.

Looks like the image cache does not get refreshed correctly.
I cannot attach a blend file which shows the bug immediately because the transition looks normal again as soon as you save and reopen the blend file.
In the attached blend simply play it once and then move the handles around a bit.%%%

%%%Pardon, Börn, but this is known issue of sequencer's cache which happens due to lack of proper dependency graph between strips. it could be hacked to support some particular issues, but i would rather not do this. That hacks would be very much the same as pressing "Refresh Sequencer" button.

This thing is that i would look into all the issues as a part of mine Mango work, so hopefully it'll be a proper solution than pressing button soon.

Thanks for the report, but moving it to a todo.

P.S. Some parts of your another report would likely be also improved, but so far that issues aren't happen for us. %%%
