%%%to reproduce:

  1. create an object
  2. add one or more shape keys, pin them ("Always show the current Shape for this Object")
  3. Object panel, Display rollout, turn on Wire
  4. Sculpt mode -> do any change on the object
  • the sculpting result is visible on the shaded faces of the object, but not on the wire. The wire is displayed in its initial shape, as if it was a separate object.

Clicking on the shape key name updates the display. Rotating the view does not.

Attachments:

  • image file where the bug is visible
  • blend file for testing (you have to sculpt something to see it)

%%%Checked the code, and it's ended up non-implemented drawing from optimized BVH structure for wireframe and textured modes. Proper solution would be to implement this things, but it's a bit challenging task. For now added note into our TODO wiki: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:2.5/Source/Development/Todo/Tools#Sculpting
Would look into this issue again after release.

Thanks for the report, but it's not actually a bug, just missed functionality..%%%
