Bones cannot be posed when dupliframes are enabled (and keyframes exist)
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

--- Operating System, Graphics card ---
OS X 10.7.5, GeForce GT 330M 512 MB

--- Blender version with error, and version that worked ---
r57123M also tried with official 2.67a

--- Short description of error ---

Posing bones initially works, but when inserting subsequent keys bones snap back to previously keyed position.
Pose mirroring only works with autokf on, otherwise hitting I-key after pasting mirrored snaps to previous position, as above.
As an aside, using breakdowner tool between mirrored poses, keys are inserted correctly.

--- Steps for others to reproduce the error (preferably based on attached .blend file) ---

- Pose bone (e.g. C_hips already selected) either with manipulator, or G/R key to record autokf.
- Advance to new frame, manipulate bone => bone snaps to previous position and keyframe recorded in Action Editor.

Apologies in advance if I've done something strange and this is my mistake, but if so I can't figure it out.

Weird! This really shouldn't be happening (and AFAIK, doesn't on other files).

Whatever it is, it is getting set after posing, but does get cleared if you go in and out of editmode for a moment. So, it's possible it may/may not be related to some proxy-related locking magic

Aha! For some reason, you've got dupliframes enabled on the armature object. Disable that and things should work ok.

Technical Note:
This is one of those evaluation/multi-user bugs with the duplis system, where it tries to evaluate its results on copies of the actual data it is working on. Noted on todo-list of depsgraph type errors to fix.

Wow thanks Joshua. No idea how that happened (I have never consciously used dupliframes). I'll keep an eye on that in future.
