We would like to have a Blender mirror on these website so people can clone it easily.

Phabricator just acquired this capability, so we would need to upgrade to make use of that, or we create a script to run as a cronjob on git.blender.org, but having it in Phabricator seems nice.

So we need to:

  • Create official blender foundation accounts
  • Upgrade phabricator or write cronjob script
  • Set up SSH keys (without passphrase) for pushing
  • Ensure we communicate well about accepting pull requests

still learning my ways around phabricator. I meant to add a subtask, but it may have been added as a dependency ...

I think so. When we moved to phabricator we had some requests about this but haven't seen anything since. Probably not worth the hassle of maintaining this and dealing with the fact that github doesn't let you disable pull requests, unless a very good reason comes up.
