New toolbar tabs get added to the top, should go to bottom #38049

Currently when an addon creates a new tab it gets added to the top, pushing other tabs down. Unfortunately this causes the tab location to change for previous tabs, causing unexpected location changes.

It'd be much better for new tabs to be added at the bottom, leaving previously registered tabs where they are. This way we can explicitly set the default tabs, and not worry about the order getting messed up by addons. Screenshot_2014-01-03_16.34.27.png

Oh this would be great! Small change but would make a big difference... Agreed as well.

I can't redo this

  • enabling the 3d print addon initially adds the tab at the bottom.
  • saving user defaults, then reloading, and the tab is still at the bottom.

Could you try redo this from factory defaults? - its possible you have the panel position stored in your startup file.

Tried to enable every addon and the behavior described didnt occur, assuming this was from saved panel location.
