OSX Retina: Add Reroute node wrong placement
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

System Information
osx 10.9.1

Blender Version
Broken: official 2.6.9, own 0445454
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
Adding a Rereoute Node by Shift Mouse-click drag over existing Node Connection Places new Reroute node "out in space" anywhere about 200-800 Pixels away.
Usually above it. and actually depending on where on your existing Node Connection the Shift+Mouse "cut" happens. Near to the right (input) it miss-places way less than if cut left (output).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

Event Timeline

I too have noticed that reroute nodes seem to be little out of place when added with Shift+Click (though usually only 50px or so off).
I'm on Archlinux, no retina.

I tested with a few other versions, and it is always placed spot on with:

  • 2.65a r53177
  • 2.67b r57123

It goes slightly off with:

  • 2.68a 58536

It seems to go even more off (or maybe it's my imagination) with:

  • 2.69 r60991
  • 2.69.8 17a4ba2

All the above test were made with official builds from from blender.org. (except the git build, which is from builder.blender.org)

Perhaps this bug is somehow amplified when using retina?
