System Information
Fedora F20 32 bit PAE kernel with 16 G ram.
nVidia 9800 GTX

Blender Version
Broken: V2.69
Worked: (optional) On my other Fedora F19, and F20 32 bit PAE core two duo machines with less ram

Short description of error
With the simple default initialization box face select picks the wrong face.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps
Since I have several other machines and the problem does not happen on them I suspect it is related to my hardware.
The video card I have had for several years, the cpu/ram configuration is new.
I have a 46MB screen cast that shows the problem

I used screen cast and the thingy to show what buttons I was hitting when I created the video. So hopefully it will demo the problem to you.

This bug is scaring me. because it is on my newest fastest system. I've had issues in the past using 32 bit linux on a box with a large amount of ram with the Fedora folks complaining that I should get off the PAE version of the kernel and go to 64 bit. The reason I don't is that I can't get Second Life to run on 64 bit Fedora. And I'm using blender specificly for Second life. It also scares me because I've been using blender for a year or more and this seems like such a basic bug ( I'm a former programmer on IBM large systems ). I'm guessing some really crazy 32 bit problem.

Let me know if there is any more information I can provide.

Are you using the proprietary NVidia drivers on this system? The open source drivers don't work so well and we advise to use the ones from NVidia. If that doesn't help you could attach the output of Help > System Info in Blender so we can get more detailed information about the system and drivers.

Hmm I see
renderer: 'Gallium 0.4 on NV92'
vendor: 'nouveau'

I thought I had installed the proprietary nvidia drive, but apparently not. Not only that. the kmod-nvidia and kernels are out of sync. appears a new kernel is available but no nvidia driver yet. I'll update my system as soon as possible and update this problem record also.
My other systems would not run Secondlife without the propriety driver.

Ok, there's not much we can do here then, the Nouveau driver has some bugs that can cause this kind of problem. We'd like to have those resolved but don't really consider these bugs in Blender. If the proprietary drivers don't solve this problem we can reopen the report.
