System Information
Operating system and graphics card

Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.69.7 4b206af, see splash screen)
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps

I got an email from a user wanting to register with Blender wiki because she said that when clicking on the following link:

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/3D_interaction/Precise_Align

She was asked to register when trying to download the addon link on the page. I checked and it seems some links for addons that point to maniphest require uses to have a developer.blender.org account to download that addon file.

Would it be possible to make it so that people are not forced to register with developer.blender.org just to download blender addons. Maybe give them read only access for unregistered users.

I am not sure how the management of addon for Blender works, so if the above is wrong, apologies.

Terry Wallwork.

In fact, it seems you have to register/login to download a file from phab… This does not look optimal to me, esp. for addons tasks!

@brecht think this is your area, right?
