Short description of error
@Daniel Stokes (kupoman) 'Levels of Detail' system causes crashes when used in the Game Engine. Once an object has been replaced with it's lower resolution version, if it tries to replace it again with the higher resolution version, it crashes with a segmentation fault. The LOD system seems to work fine when you move around in the viewport, but crashes when used in the Game Engine.
Similar to the bug I reported here, it's seems to be when an object is 'reintroduced' into the scene do you get a crash.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
- Start the Game Engine
- Move away from the sphere (using WASD keys), you will see the LOD working
- Move back towards the sphere to make the LOD load the higher resolution sphere
