This addon is an experiment and not officially supported (for example its not included in releases). If its a bug in blender it should be fixed but this addon does some hacks to draw icons.

This is not even the latest version, which is on https://bitbucket.org/liquidape/blender-pie-menus instead. Current version from git works correctly on latest master.

Lesson learned: Stay clear of sh*t not in trunk :(
Thank's for your time guys!

@Hemlock very few addons do hacks like this, so in general this shouldn't be an issue for most addons.

@Hemlock Psy-fi is right, you should be using the latest version of the code, and it should work fine. I'll update the first post on the blenderartists thread to note that. As far as corrupt files, I've never seen anything of this nature. Are you actively able to corrupt a file on purpose using the addon? Are you sure it's the addon causing the corruption and not something else like using unsupported builds? Really the only hack going on with this is we are storing an image sheet in the image section of the blend that we can then reference for icons. It really should not be doing anything as far as corruption goes.

Anyway - use the latest build if you want it working, or just wait on psy-fi's internal implementation that is in the works.

Sorry for being unclear:
It wasn't a Blender file that was corrupted. It was another program I had open at the same time.
I will actively try NOT to recreate this but most likely that was a problem caused by the crash - not by Blender nor the add-on, a secondary fault. However, it was the most horrendous crash I've had on a windows system. Looking forward to the implementation of pies though :)
