Shortcut keys inconsistent.
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

OSX 10.7

Blender Trunk build 2.69.11

In node editor working with cycles shaders. When creating new glossy shader you can use shortcut keys Shift-A (brings up add window), H (select shaders tab), G (adds Glossy Shader).

In Materials tab in Properties. In Surface, opening shader dropdown and using shortcut G gives you a Glass shader. NOT A GLOSSY SHADER. Please make shortcuts consistent.

This picks the first menu item by name. Menu in the materials tab needs to use the same system as the shift+a menu in the node editor.

Sergey Sharybin (sergey) changed the task status from Unknown Status to Unknown Status.Jun 3 2014, 9:02 AM

On the other hand shortcuts are automatically geenrated for menus, we don't really control them. It's probbaly possible to improve behavior here but making a general ystem which would keep shortcuts between multiple menus consitent is rather really tricky.
