what version are you using, you can verify that from pref. addons tab where you enabled it.

the version of the addon is 0.5.1 but when i try to enable it it just says

File "C:\Users\masonblenderrender\AppData\Roaming\Blend er Foundation\Blender\2.70\scripts\addons\io_import_l ipSync_importer.py" line 2

^

SyntaxError: invalid syntax

is there a way to fix this? i installed it like this link says but it's still not working.

A line starting with <!--saved is not valid python syntax, and looks like HTML or XML comment.

Somehow you managed to have a py file with some HTML/XML in it.

This isnt a bug in Blender, and io_import_lipSync_importer.py is not distributed with official releases.

closing.

Of course, it's just text after all.

You can get rid of the comment and see if it works better.

Note, the script is from SVN and we've since moved to GIT, possibly the script wont run with a recent blender version.

SVN is kept online for reference only, dont use scripts from there.
