2D Filters and anti-aliasing broke quad buffer stereo #40790

System Information
Operating system and graphics card
Windows 7 64bit, NVIDIA Quadro Fx3800

Blender Version
Broken: 2.70a (Hash f93bc76) and 2.71RC2 (Hash f37ec65)
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
Using any 2D filter and Quad-Buffer stereo, the scene is rendered (standalone player) without stereo. Disabling 2D filter the scene is rendered in Quad-Buffer stereo correctly. The same behavior appears also turning on anti-aliasing (without using 2D filter)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on a (as simple as possible) attached .blend file with minimum amount of steps
_____ 2D Filter _____
Open filter.blend (attached)
Start Standalone player -> the filter is applied but the window is not quad-buffer
Close Standalone player
Choose "Disable Filter" on "Filter 2D" actuator (game logic)
Start Standalone player -> the filter is disabled and the window is correctly quad-buffer

_____ Anti-Aliasing _____
Open default cube scene
Enable Quad-Buffer stereo
Enable Anti-Aliasing (any value)
Start Standalone player -> the anti-aliasing is applied but the window is not quad-buffer
Close Standalone player
Disable anti-aliasing
Start Standalone player -> no more anti-aliasing and the window is correctly quad-buffer

Unfortunately, this will be difficult without access to a graphics card that supports Quad-Buffer stereo. If I recall correctly, NVIDIA only supports this in their Quadro cards. Not sure about AMD.

@brita my OSX can't do QUADBUFFER either :/

@FabrizioBazzurri If you are comfortable with git and building blender, could you run a git bisect on the revision range you mention in your report? This could at least tell us which commit caused the regression.

@Moguri No problem in building blender (I have to learn the git bisect but no problem) but I tried to check the bug against older version (till 2.58 r38019) but the error always appears (at least with 2d filter as no bge AA were present in older version). Probably it has never worked?

Okay, this this isn't a regression, but just a general problem with how we do Quad-Buffer stereo, AA, and/or 2D filters.
