Uneven result when beveling with weights #41177

Short description of error
When beveling based on weights, it sometimes get uneven result.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Please see attached image and file. All selected edges are assigned with weight value 1.0.

Thanks for the report. I can confirm the problem.
This isn't really about weights. The same problem shows if you select the active edge and the adjacent one (not leading to the hole) and just try to bevel those. I guess the code that tries to keep the angles of non-beveled edges constant is messing things up here.

Not yet, sorry. Except for a quick glance that had me note to myself: "I guess the code that tries to keep the angles of non-beveled edges constant is messing things up here."

Working on a UV problem with bevel right now, and it is proving to be a rats nest of problems, so I'll be on that for a while more.

I know what the problem is here. I have a TODO in the code to do better in the case where the unbeveled edge is more than 180 degrees away from one of the beveled edges, in cases like this. It may not be too hard to fix so I will look at this next.
