The imported camera from maya is "looking" backward, in the wrong direction
In Blender 2.71.3 ( 2.71-3d4f540-win64)
The camera import worked in some case, and in the atttached file, the camera is tilted
The camera animation is not still supported
You can download the original Maya file, 2 FBX 2013 and 2014 export fille with camera animation, and a third file without camera animation.

Thanks for the test files, it helps me validate something else! :)
Regarding your case, in current master camera is imported (tilt is in FBX file, cam object as following local rotation:
["P", ["Lcl Rotation", "Lcl Rotation", "", "A+", -11.141085485697243, -268.590340990998, -0.2314691982947098], "SSSSDDD", - [x],
, given the fact that FBX cameras are aligned on X axis, it is definitively tilt for me…).As for animation, currently you have to link actions to their respective objects by hand (using the action editor), doing so automatically is not trivial with such a complex format as FBX (added a note about it on the status page).
So no bug in the end, thanks for the report anyway. :)
