Importing multiple images into VSE at one time fails, only first image selected imports

Not really sure if this is a bug or feature request, but it feels like it should work, and it does not.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Blender
  2. Go the the VSE
  3. Ctrl+A
  4. Choose Image
  5. Go to a folder with multiple images in it
  6. Select multiple images via box select, double tapping A, or shift clicking multiple images
  7. Note only the first image selected is imported

additionally, these are not meant to be an image sequence, but a bunch of random images each in own strip. Like if you were making a slide show.

All images are imported in a single strip, you can then easily separate them with Y shortcut…

Thanks for the report, but there is no bug here.

Nope, they are not - upon further inspection, this bug only seems to appear if there is an "active image", if you box select, they will all import on one strip. If you shift select multiple images, only first will be imported.

Can you please check with a build from our buildbot? Here shift-select works the same as A-select or box-select.
