Latency problem using RTSP/HTTP stream in video texturing in BGE #41603

The attached file latency_videoTexture_debug.blend with a plane and a cone highlights a latency problem when texturing the plane with a rtsp or http stream.

If you play the video of the http link with your Internet navigator and, in the same time, you play the BGE scene, you will notice that, in the blend file, the video is displayed with an increasing delay. (The video end up aroung 6s later).

The bug does not appear with file inputs ou webcam.

My hunch is that there is a problem in FFMPEG default settings with RTSP/HTTP in blender.

Tried to change default FFMPEG settings (buffer size, numbre of buffer frames) in code, no change. Need expert in FFMEG-based streaming in Blender.

Note: the delay is not stable (as in constant time due to buffering): it increases steadily as the streams goes on.

I just tryed the blend (modified to include a working link http://download.blender.org/peach/bigbuckbunny_movies/BigBuckBunny_320x180.mp4) and I can not redo your issue.

For me, both videos were playing without any latency issue.

Maybe, it is related to the external player or the OS.

My OS is OpenSuse linux 13.1 and the player Kmplayer

I triage the report as normal but if we don't have any user/developer confirming the bug in the next 2 months I will close the report.
