Short description of error
When adding a blur node following the new sunbeam node, you will sometimes get a bright red mark at the center of the sunbeam. It seems to occur more often in the viewer, sometimes changing blur amount will cause it to appear or disappear.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
See attach .blend file. If it doesn't appear on render, try opening up the node editor and look at the backdrop, or try adjusting the blur amount. You may notice the dot appear in white as well if you toggle the mute on the blur node.

The red part of the issue was fixed today, you should be able to test it in next nightly build.
The 'dot' itself I could reproduce, but it’s rather erratic, smells another nasty evanescent bug here… :/

should have the red fix, though, right? (seems the OS X buildbot ran right before I checked it this morning)Yep, this rev has the fix already (fix was in
876ccc8373
).Added subscriber: @Sergey
@LukasTonne, it could be just a depending are of interest issue?
I can't reproduce this on recent master (
31da725
), can somebody confirm?@LukasTonne: dot will be white now (red stuff was other bug with muted nodes, fixed since a few weeks). I do can reproduce (open file, F12, esc, M, M), but not always - this looks like either threading or mem issue.

.I am still able to reproduce this bug (both red color, and the dot) in both
ee5936c
and 2.72a official.
